People who have grown fat should not post their pictures on Facebook

Worse still, many of them post pictures of themselves eating or drinking at a pub! If they spend their time getting some exercise instead of eating, drinking and surfing Facebook, perhaps they wouldn't be in that shape.

If you are one of these people, I post this not because I want to make you upset but to urge you to consider changing your lifestyle. You may think that you're fat and happy. But realistically, there's no such thing as being fat and happy unless it's some sort of a fetish (no pun intended). Stop living in denial. You need to take care of your health. The longer you wait, the harder it is to lose weight and regain your health. In fact, many health problems cannot be reversed.

Many people wonder why health-conscious people can get a heart attack or just drop dead. There are many factors such as diet, physical activity level, sleep, genetics, etc that affect a person's health. People who are health-conscious now may not have always been this way. What they did to their bodies in the past may be affecting them now. For example, a study published in Aug 2013 found that women who drink the equivalent of one glass of wine a night through their teens and early twenties increase their chance of breast cancer by one third. If you think a person like me who is lucky to have "skinny genes" doesn't have the right to say this to you, I can assure you that if I were to eat exactly what you eat daily and exercise just as little as you, I'll be in the same shape as you!
