Time flies

25
"Do you know it's been 10 years since 911?" my colleague asked me.

It's amazing how time flies. It doesn't even feel like 10 years have passed since the 9/11 attack.

Do you remember what you were doing that day? I had just returned home that evening. My dad was watching the news in his room. He said a plane had flown into a building (at the time I hadn't heard of the World Trade Center). He asked my mum and me to come watch it. I said I wanted to shower and I'll watch it later. By the time I'd come out of the shower, another plane had flown into the second tower of the building.

Perhaps you can remember, perhaps you can't. What were you doing when the tunnel of Nicoll Highway MRT station collapsed, killing 4 workers? This incident was recent and happened in my homeland but why can't I remember? Is it because fewer lives were lost? Is it because American lives seem to be more highly valued by the mass media than those of poor foreign workers?

How time flies is reminder to treasure the gift of time.

The firework was much better than the movies and the slow motion disintegration was simply too hard to replicate.

I was shagging in bed with the TV turned on.

The collapsing towers looked like "slow motion entry" ( with the exposed part slowly disappearing lah ) which made me even hornier!

And the noise only made me bonk harder.

It is sad to see so many brave men sacrificed to change the arrogant attitude of the "Greatest Terrorists Empire on earth"

When I saw those people shooting through the windows, gosh, it looks like ejaculation!

Yu-Kym,

Is it arrogant for a person going to work at United Overseas Bank Plaza One or Republic Plaza
to be thinking of the chance that terrorist will fly into the building on a given day?

Tunneling work, mining and all jobs underground are inherently risky.

Going to work in a tall building is not risky.

If the plot against Singapores embassy in Jakarta had been successful Singapore reactions to a terrorist attack would be much different today.

Every life is valuable. Every life touches another.

One cannot mourn the thousdands of deaths in automotive accidents.

Does a backpack bomb have to go off on a crowded MRT boarding platform.

SG is fortunate and lucky.

I hope that SGs security agencies and luck keep all in SG safe.

Ah, they are not interested in doing the same thing to SG lah other than blamming Singapore to be a 'USA ass kisser and licker, dong a good ass rimming job' but Singapore has never murdered their wifes or women or children.

It is quite unlike Australia where their soldiers are committing the same atrositis in Afgan and Iraq, and they are considered to be "The lap Dog of USA" - so they suffer in Indonesia!

Such an attack on UOB in Singapore did cross my mind. We, here, take the effectiveness our security team for granted though we know that terrorist groups are very much alive and operational in Singapore.

News came thru' of celebration started with over 80 US soldiers killed/wounded by truck bomb in Afganistan.

It is the highest single day casualty figure.

I am totally astonished when Anonymous wrote "they are not interested in doing the same thing to SG.......Singapore has never murdered their wifes or women or children".

Is this naivety, ignorance, stupigdity or what?

Yea, silli people have no common sense ah!

If Singaporeans go round the world murdering other peoples' babies, wifes, brothers, sisters, husbands, etc etc , there sure will be a 911 in SG!

Anonymous said...

Haha

I am equally astonished no one has murdered Con-Mic....yet! He is still 100% alive but pitifully his brain's almost dead....operating only between 9 - 11% lol

Singapore is one the world's major financial centres.

A symbol of capitalism where east and west meet.

Most Asian nations are growing along the lines of traditional capitalism.

Such secular societies and their institutions already have bulleyes as targets for terrorist attacks.

Crowded malls, MRT stations, and clubs are easy targets.

Singapores borders can be circumvented by any determined party.

Please don't think evil thoughts on SG like 'Such secular societies and their institutions already have bulleyes as targets for terrorist attacks.'

They are only interested in the 'Greatest Evil Empire on Earth'

David said...

If only what you said were true.

Unfortunatley you overlooked the attack on SGs emabssy in Jakarta that was successfully prevented.

Bombings in Bali, Spain, London all point towards centers of captalist finance, and symbols of secular success.

No doubt more plots against SG have been discovered but not revealed. To often the act of revealing a failed attack tells future attackers the type of resources that must be overcome.

No one wishes for a terrorist attack. Singapore, like New York and London is a major world financial centre.

Prepare, be vigilant and be ready to act if one sees suspicious people, vehicles, backpacks or anything out of the ordinary when one travels by airline.

That is why i say when this fella Con-Mic refused to reveal himself and hides in his hole...it's because even dogs will attack and tear him to shreds if he so much as tries a little peep out to see the world!

That's also the reason why his views of the world are so blinkered and distorted. He is scared stiff to come out of his hole. lol

Hey, poor Con-Mic,

I am sure you know that if one continually have one's post censored, your fans like silli cat would be deprived of having our fun with you.

And I am afraid very soon you will be a 100% non-entity...irrelevant. Surely we dont want that or anything worse to happen to you than you already are now.

So pls keep us entertain with your conning and comedy. Try not to be too extreme in your posts. May I suggest just stick to your ridiculous take on the politics and events of the world as you "see" in that dark grimey underground hole of yours. We find it funny as it shows your stupigdity and utter desperation and angst and envy with the world outside. lol

My parents, teachers and friends are to blame for my pathetic predicament. I am just the poor suffering sucker
