A fool and his money are soon parted

14
Since we're on the subject of men and money, here's an article about 5 men being conned by a "woman" by the name of "Nicole Tay" on Facebook who claimed to need money to pay her landlord or get evicted.

Do you think they lend her the money out of goodwill? Do you think they would have lent the money if the requester was a man? I bet they were thinking of Nicole Smith, not Nicole Tay.

They think a stranger whom they have never met would return them their money when sometimes even "friends" would run away after borrowing money!

Don't they feel stupid lodging those reports to the police? Fools create more work for the police to handle! If I were the policeman at the police station, I'd brand those guys with an "L" on their foreheads! In case you think I'm cruel to think of doing that, it is actually for their own good. The "L" is not for other people to see but for those guys to remind themselves not to "lend" money to strangers whenever they look into the mirror.

Note: There are also male scammers on the Internet lure women with promises of love.

Yu-Kym,

Not only is it a truism that "a fool and his money are soon parted"........ in the world of extremist religious beliefs, "a fool and his mind are soon parted too!" heh!

Ah, the men only gave $50 each which is chicken feed, far less than what they pay prostitues who charge $100 for only 30 minutes.

So you can throw away your masturbating machine, join Singapore's largest industry, gain unending organisms. But please don't service Indians, Pakis & blacks because they carry super-bug ST diseases which is now spreading across US, UK, and Europe.

She probably gave them good sex workouts. We sometimes underestimate the power of sex, expecially so when the men involved are virgins or lacking confidence in themselves etc.A good shag probably equals to love and a slurpy BJ equals to undying, eternal, everlasting rapture. Hence, marriage and money to the enchantress for these poor blokes.
I must say it takes a tremendous amount of courage to have their faces in the papers, OK, foolish courage perhaps.I do wonder though;how does one make a report of this nature? "Hello Officer. I want to make a report of, ahem, being screwed". It's actually pretty funny, almost surreal.

My earlier comments was on a similar case in Malaysia where a woman shagged 6 men (not in one go, unfortunately), married all of them them ala Chinese custom style only, so she remains legally unmarried and cheated them off a staggering MR400,000.Brilliant!

2 of them exposed their faces in the newspapers today holding up the marriage certificates. What was interesting was one towered over the other. The woman must have been collecting and comparing. As for the men, they are now probably sharing war stories like, "She gave me a BJ while I was ironing my clothes". "Yeh? She gave it to me while I was polishing my shoes!" chimes the other. Very Monty Phytonnesque.

Pink Miu Miu,

Nothing is free in this world, including love! I believe everything has a cost, one way or another.

Eugene,

How can you deduce that these men actually met "Nicole" and the total sum conned of $1500 was in exchange for sex?

CC, "...... in the world of extremist religious beliefs, "a fool and his mind are soon parted too!"

A little zealous with your anti-religious diatribe!

Truth is sex has been used by con-artist throughout the ages. Some people use brain power to concoct schemes to separate a man from his money.

For some men, the offer and enticement of sex, and attention from a sensual women gets that man to react like one of Pavlov's dogs.

The rest is easy.

David,

I qualified my remarks with "extremist" religious beliefs. It is still considered as over-zealous and anti-religious from you!

Why is that so?

Anon, if $50 is chicken feed to the guy, he shouldn't waste public money to lodge the report.

David, these people are really good at conning. Even "intelligent" graduates can get conned of thousands of dollars. I have a friend who got conned...

Eugene, that woman is brilliant! But she got greedy so she got caught in the end...

Yu-Kym,

Many graduates are only academically or examination "intelligent" in the Singapore context. Graduate or not, many ppl get conned because they are not street smart intelligent nor wise. Most of all their greed, one of the so-called seven deadly sins... is the final nail that fueled the conman's success!
