Stay away from emocentric people

It's not a typo error.

I'm sure you've heard of egocentric behavior. I am coining a new word: emocentric. It is similar to egocentric behavior.

Definition of egocentric (from dictionary.com):
1. having or regarding the self or the individual as the center of all things
2.having little or no regard for interests, beliefs, or attitudes other than one's own; egocentric demands upon the time and patience of others.

Definition of emocentric (by me):
1. having or regarding the self's or the individual's feeling as the center of all things
2.having little or no regard for feelings other than one's own; emocentric demands upon the time and patience of others.

Everyone is emotional to a certain extent. The emocentric person, however, is one who behaves as though nobody in the wide world is entitled to have feelings but them. They will say nasty things as and when it suits them. When people are hurt or offended, they will accuse others of being overly sensitive and petty.
"I am only mentioning casually... why are you so easily offended."
"I am only speaking the truth. You cannot take criticism."

Should anyone say anything vaguely negative to the emocentric person, he will have an extreme and dramatic reaction.
"After everything that I have done for you, all you do is hurt me!"
"You will have retribution!"
"Everyone in the world is bad to me. I want to die!"

You can never reason with emocentric people because they will use emotions to counter every reason. Trying to explain anything to them is a waste of time. Staying away is the best option.

True.
Far too many people think of themselves only. They are incapable of understanding the needs of others.
Stay away. These are emotional basket cases.

Yup, everyone is emotional to certain extent.
